Ubiquitous as props for photoshoots, apple boxes for photography are sturdy, wooden boxes that can support people or equipment while the photographer works their magic. Subjects can stand on, sit on, or lean against an apple box to create a variety of poses and positions. Apple boxes can also be used to prop up lights and cameras at desired angles.
You can shop for four different sizes of apple boxes at Samy's Camera: full, half, quarter, and eighth (1-inch pancake) size. Depending on the size, your apple box will usually weigh anywhere from 2 to 8 lbs. Since apple boxes for photography are a standard length and width, they're easy to stack on top of one another. You can combine apple boxes of different sizes to create specifically sized platforms, or put them next to each other to create steps of different heights. Because they're both lightweight and durable, it's easy to take your apple boxes to any professional photoshoot or casual photo op.
